our foundation

Nestwise is available worldwide and built on a simple promise: your parenting conversations are yours. We do not collect, store, or transmit your chat messages, your child's name, or any personal data to our servers — because we don't have any servers involved in AI processing.

This policy applies to all users globally. Where local law grants you additional rights, those rights apply to you in full.

Nestwise is designed to comply with major privacy regulations worldwide. Because all data stays on your device and we collect no personal information on our servers, we naturally satisfy the core requirements of these frameworks:

Nestwise collects the absolute minimum needed to function. Everything is stored locally on your device only:

• Your child's name and date of birth — stored on your device only via Apple's SwiftData framework
• Milestone logs you mark — stored on your device only
• App preferences such as theme and notification settings — stored locally via UserDefaults
• Anonymous crash reports — only if you have opted in to Apple's crash reporting in your iOS Settings

We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, IP address, device identifiers, location, payment details, or any information about your child beyond what you explicitly enter.

Data stored on your device is used solely to:

• Personalise AI responses with your child's name and age
• Display milestone progress within the app
• Remember your app preferences across sessions

We never use your data for advertising, profiling, behavioural tracking, or any purpose beyond making the app work for you. There is no legal basis for processing because we do not process any data on our side — it all stays on your device.

Nestwise uses Apple Intelligence — Apple's on-device AI framework — to generate parenting advice. This means:

• Your questions and conversations are processed entirely on your iPhone — they never leave your device
• Apple Intelligence does not send your conversations to Apple's servers for AI processing
• Nestwise cannot read or access the content of your AI conversations after they are displayed
• Conversations are held in temporary memory only and are not persisted to disk by Nestwise

Nestwise does not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal data with any third party anywhere in the world.

• No advertising or marketing networks
• No analytics or tracking platforms
• No data brokers or data aggregators
• No cloud AI providers — all AI is on-device

Because no personal data leaves your device, there are no international data transfers to disclose under GDPR Article 46, PIPEDA, or any equivalent regulation. The only third party involved is Apple — through App Store distribution and the Apple Intelligence framework — governed by Apple's own global privacy policy.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are always in full control.

• Delete the app — all data is permanently and immediately removed from your device
• Use Settings → Reset All Data inside Nestwise to wipe all profiles and history without uninstalling
• We cannot recover deleted data as we hold no copies anywhere

If you use iCloud Backup, iOS may back up local app data as part of your standard device backup. This is controlled entirely by your iOS Settings, not by Nestwise. You can exclude Nestwise from iCloud Backup at any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.

Nestwise is designed for parents and caregivers. It is not directed at children. We comply with children's privacy laws globally:

• USA (COPPA): We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13
• UK / EU (GDPR-K): We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16
• Australia: We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 15
• India (DPDP): We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18
• All other regions: We apply the most protective standard available locally

Information about your child — their name and date of birth — is entered by you as the parent and stored only on your device. It is never transmitted anywhere. If you believe a child has provided information without parental consent, contact us immediately at prittejani01@gmail.com.

Regardless of where you live, you have the following rights:

• Access: Know what data exists about you — in Nestwise, all data is visible directly in the app
• Deletion: Delete all your data instantly via Settings → Reset All Data or by deleting the app
• Portability: Your data is stored in Apple's SwiftData format on your own device — it belongs to you
• Correction: Edit your child's profile at any time in the app settings
• Objection / Opt-out: Stop using the app and delete it — no further processing occurs
• Withdraw consent: Delete the app at any time with no consequences

Since we hold no data on any server, all rights are exercisable directly by you on your device. For any additional requests or questions, email prittejani01@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days as required by applicable law.

Your data security is handled by Apple's built-in device protection:

• All local data is protected by iOS device encryption — secured by your Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode
• SwiftData storage is sandboxed — no other app on your device can access Nestwise data
• We use no network connections for AI — eliminating the most common vector for data breaches
• We follow Apple's App Store security guidelines and best practices for iOS development

In the unlikely event of a security issue affecting our app code, we will notify users via an app update and post-release notes as quickly as possible.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law or app functionality. When we do:

• The effective date at the top of this page will be updated
• You will be notified via an in-app notice on the next launch for material changes
• For significant changes affecting your rights, we will provide 30 days notice where required by law

Continued use of Nestwise after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. You can always find the latest version of this policy at the URL provided in the App Store listing.
